Happy new year's eve! What a blessed year 2012 has been for me; I hope you feel the same in your lives.
I finished up the greek key trim from this post. Crazy how such a teensy thing makes such a big difference. I love projects like this!
I took some $20 white Ikea tab curtains, trimmed them out, and sewed down the tabs in the back so the curtains would mimic a pinch pleat. I like the way it turned out. Subtle detail. Anyway, it's an improvement from what was here previously.
I took these photos before I ironed the drapes. That's right, you read it right. Me. Ironed. Something I never ever do, but, hey, since the Mayan end-of-worldness was wrong, who knows WHAT's going to happen at this point. Everything* changes now, am I right?
*And by "everything" I of course mean "nothing." Except for ironing. This one time.

ReplyDeleteWelcome, Tracie! Thank you. It's not a huge change, but it's one that brings me joy every time I see them. Which, being as the dining room equates to food, is more often than I care to admit. :)
DeleteLove these! My daughter loves Anything Greek even though we aren't, and fittingly her name is Cassandra! Thanks so much for sharing with the Pink Hippo Party. I am your newest follower~

Haha! Love it. My daughter (she's 6) thinks that she's a member of the High School Musical cast and sometimes walks around singing and strutting her stuff. Ah kids. :)

Deletelove that look! great idea, and gasp, ironing? wow! i am impressed. i'm a wrinkle releaser spray user...ironing scares me, lol.
ReplyDeleteI know! It scares me, too...especially after watching Home Alone over the holidays with my kiddos. You know how that one burglar gets an iron to the face? We can't have that happening in real life, now, can we?
DeleteThe trim looks great! and I'm with you on the ironing - hate it!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to a Round Tuit!
Hope you are having a fabulous festive week!
